I'm not at the shop anymore. The boss-man said I wasn't as experienced as he thought I was and with the busy season starting, there wasn't any way he had the time to train me on the basics that my first tattoo teacher should have taught me.
I can almost hear you asking "But why didn't you ask him to teach you the basics?" The answer is I didn't know enough to ask. And when you don't know, you don't know to ask questions.
On the positive side, I managed to get into the shop on my own merit based on what I taught myself. The downside is it just wasn't good enough to stick it out.
[sigh] It's only a temporary setback, but I have the nagging feeling I'm just deluding myself yet again. I'm not giving up just yet though.
In other news, my husband accepted a job in Shanghai. It's a year long contract, but if all goes well, he and I will both be living in China by summertime. I just hate moving is all...
