I wanted to draw something kinda 'Old School'. 
This is definitely a departure from my usual drawing fare. 
This is definitely a departure from my usual drawing fare. This particular piece got a very nasty critique shortly after I posted it, stating "this suks, nevr draw again". The funny thing is the person who posted it has extremely amateur-ish and poorly done drawings on their own page.
I guess it only shows there's no pleasing everybody....especially trolls.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis is a nice piece of art, but it can be better. The sword it beautiful, but the palate is colorless which would have looked marvelous with more or a wood look. The colors fusing together gives it an odd shaping, maybe would be better just maybe a smidge apart of maybe the colors mixing a dab. I like the impact of the sword going through the wood and mixing color and the quality of the parchment at the top of the handle (Nice handwriting by the way.). The roses could use work though. The roses themselves are shaded wonderfully but the tips of the roses are just a bit too sharp. Overall, this is a great piece, keep it up.
